A Family Affair

We are a mother (Anne) and daughter (Kylie) team and we run a home-based candle-making business situated in Long Jetty & Berkeley Vale on the Central Coast, NSW, Australia. The business, Cleopatra’s Candles is named after Kylie’s beloved cat, Cleopatra.

Our business was born out of an adverse time in Kylie’s life. After suffering a significant physical injury, Kylie found peace and tranquility in aromatherapy candles and she was drawn to share the joy candles brought her with others dealing with the emotional rollercoaster that sometimes accompanies unplanned life changes. From this, the Wellbeing candle range was born to specifically aid in the healing and uplifting of people’s own wellbeing as they faced their challenges.

Anne started her career in Aged Care at 20 years of age and became one of the first female CEOs in Aged Care in Sydney. She held her CEO position for 30 years before semi-retiring. Anne is an industry expert in aged care and now adds candle-making to her repertoire along with many other traits.

We started business in November 2020 following Kylie’s lifelong dream to run her own candle business. In a year of pandemics, lockdowns, social distancing, and the loss of a very dear and close family member, it was as good as time as any to make a new start.

Our range of quality handmade 100% soy wax candles are hand-poured and designed to create an ambiance of comfort, elegance, and wellbeing.

We take great pride in the standard and quality of our products and we have now expanded into making melts, face mists, and perfume oils. We have just redesigned our wellbeing candles and introduced a new range of intention candles.

Each candle is made with love and will soothe the senses through their enticing scents and the visual appeal of soft color and the warm glow of the flame.
